Massage Therapist

My grandfather introduced me to the world of health care. He was a paramedic, and I was fascinated with the stories of how he took care of and helped people. It was him that taught me the importance of my own health and the health of others. I started my health journey by completing a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Even though I loved helping people, working in the hospital system was not for me.

I found remedial massage and it has been my love ever since. I started my diploma at the Australian College of Natural Therapies in Sydney and completed it at the Melbourne Institute of Massage. I now help people in a more holistic way, watching them smile and make improvements in their bodies but also in their general wellbeing. How good is that?
I thoroughly enjoy working with the body and treating a variety of musculoskeletal complaints, specifically those related to bio-mechanical dysfunction. I incorporate my work with posture and rehabilitation of the muscles to get patients back to their best as soon as possible.

I utilise a range of treatment techniques to restore and maintain the normal integrity of the soft tissue structures (muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia) especially around the neck and shoulders. In treatment I use gentle and relaxing to deep and remedial massage techniques, cupping, joint mobility, posture assessment and trigger points. I’m also qualified in pregnancy and lymphatic drainage massage.

My number one priority is to not only get patients out of pain but to actively treat the cause of their complaint to help them achieve their own personal goals.
