Renee Rotundo
Myotherapist
My interest in massage started my holistic wellness journey. It began in high school when I was getting headaches from studying which remedial massage alleviated. I became intrigued as to how trigger points worked, whilst also being aware of the relaxing qualities for the nervous system that massage provided.
I completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage and Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy at RMIT in 2014. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings as a Myotherapist, multiple sports organisations as a sports massage therapist and in a spa-like environment as a remedial massage therapist.
I have also completed a bachelor’s degree in naturopathy in 2022, which has helped me treat patients in a more holistic way to empower them to take control of their health and learn more about the root cause of their symptoms to achieve optimal health outcomes.
In treatment I use massage techniques with medium to firm pressure, in conjunction with trigger point therapy, cupping, myofascial release, dry needling and joint mobility. I use a thorough assessment and a combination of massage techniques to treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions in line with the patient’s goals, to relieve pain and increase mobility.
